The NutriSystem Weight Loss Program endorsed by celebrities like Belinda Carlise, Marie Osmond and Tony Orlando is a diet meal plan. The NutriSystem has been giving advise on weight loss and diets for over 35 years.

The NutriSystem, diet meal plan works around the basis of the Glycemic Index. The Index measures the speed of how fast glucose is released into the blood stream from a variety of foods. The diet targets Low GI foods which claims to sustain your energy levels longer and delays your hunger pains versus High GI foods.

Also the diet meal plans works on portion control. Most people don’t realise how much food is enough, and often they will overeat. By controlling your portions this already will be one of the keys tips in helping you lose weight. With added encouragement of exercise you be way on your way to a healthier lifestyle.

If you visit NutriSystem website you can find between 100-200 variety of meals available in their menu. They look great but they come prepacked and won’t be as attractive as the pictures in their website; like people would say they have been photoshop.

The NutriSystem have different meal plans for men and women which are further divided into 4 categories; basic, silver, vegetarian and diabetic plans. The main difference between the Basic and Silver plans are the foods and the target age group. The Basic been a younger generation and the Silver been an older generation.

The NutriSystem currently retails around $350-400 mark a month and is currently only available in the US and Canada only.

Some of misspellings of the NutriSystem include Nutisystem or Nutrisytem.
